  • A project that integrates a student design with community led bottom up assembly. Built on a site contaminated by the presence of knot-weed, the garden consists of hovering planters at varied heights that plug into an elevated rain-water harvesting system. Each is built and stewarded by an individual family in the surrounding community.

The Mayor of Islington , Councillor Jilani Chowdhury kicked off the festivities with cutting the ribbon and officially opening the Allotments Gardens.

All boxes have been filled with soil and compost provided by Islington council . The watering system works ! Now time to get planting. .

Phase 02 started with an on site meeting with Claire and Sandie of FROGG and Shan Burgess of Islington Council. The final option for the project was presented and comments were given on site .
